Anand Chitre is the Managing Director and Head of Markets and Wholesale Lending COO at BX India. In this role, he leads the teams responsible for Markets and Wholesale Lending Operations and Technology teams based in India. He is CIO for Trade Confirmations and Process Automation for Capital Markets. He is also the Global Head of Reconciliation Service. Anand’s journey with Barclays began in 2020, and interestingly, he had a prior stint with the company from 2008 to 2010. In addition to his functional remit, Anand is the Executive Sponsor for the Barclays graduate and Campus program across India.

Before joining Barclays, Anand amassed over 10 years of experience at JP Morgan, where he managed diverse technology portfolios across the Corporate and Investment Bank. With an impressive 30 years of IT experience overall, Anand holds an Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai. His IT leadership journey includes roles at various levels, and his tenure at JP Morgan India before transitioning to Barclays highlights his dynamic career trajectory.”

Through his passion towards Industry-Academia, he is member of Academic Council and Curriculum Advisory committees for various engineering colleges.
